Cotton Research Station, Srivilliputtur is located in Southern Agro-climatic zone of Tamil Nadu. It was established in 1950 for evolving good quality cotton.
It is situated on Srivilliputtur – Sivakasi road, 2 km away from Srivilliputtur. Geographically placed at 9” 5’ North latitude and 77” 6’ East longitude and at an altitude of 137.9 m MSL. Average rainfall – 835.2mm. Mean temperature 35.5o C (max.) and 25.2o C (min.)
