Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Vriddhachalam established during 1985 is located in the Cuddalore district. The KVK caters to the need of farming community distributed in thirteen Blocks.
The boundaries of the district are Bay of Bengal on the east and on the south is Nagapattinam district and west is Villupuram district. On the north is Union Territory of Pudhucherry. The total geographical area of the district is 42,830 sq. kms.
The objectives of this Kendra is to transfer of technologies through on farm testing, front line demonstration, short and long-term vocational training courses for empowerment of entrepreneur and update the extension personnel with emerging advances in agricultural research on regular basis.
